NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- LUNCH: The music department is open for lunch this week, except today. Sorry, folks! I have to run errands over lunch. I will lock the department at 12:35 p.m.
- HOMECOMING & BAND ALUMNI NIGHT: Calling all Richland County, East Richland, & West Richland band alumni! Please join the 2024 Marching Tigers in the stands on homecoming night on Friday, September 27th, 2024 in the Richland County High School Stadium. Need an instrument? We can help! - WATER BOTTLE: Bring your water bottle to Friday's rehearsal. You need your bottles for the competition on Saturday.
- BPT: Students may not claim Band Personal Time (BPT) the day before or the day of a performance. Sorry, folks. no BPT Friday of this week.
- PRACTICE:
- Keep practicing, folks! The third movement needs to be memorized before Saturday's performance. I know this is the longest movement of the show. It will take some time to get it under our fingers. That being said, you have had the music since June.
- Color guard, you will learn the routine to the third movement next week. This week's focus is on the second movement. Be ready the perform both the first and second movement at Robinson.

- BUS & VAN SEATING: You may pick a new set on the bus and van seating chart. This will be the seating chart we use for the remainder of the year. Click HERE to view the seating chart. You must be logged into your RCCU1 account on your browser to view. Click on the tabs on the bottom of the screen to toggle between the van and the bus.
- AAR ASSIGNMENT: Complete the AAR assignment on Schoology before Thursday at 11:59 p.m.
- PLAYING TEST #3: Silverado from memory. Upload the video onto Google Drive, and share the file on Schoology. The due date is Friday, September 20th. Color guard, your playing test over Silverado will be on Friday, September 27th before 11:59 p.m. I recommend submitting the school song tomorrow, instead of recording both Silverado and the school song on the same week.
- PLAYING TEST #4: On Wisconsin from memory. Upload the video onto Google Drive, and share the file on Schoology. The due date is Friday, September 27th.

- RCHS MARCHING TIGERS DRUMLINE FUNDRAISER: Friday, September 20th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the RCHS circle drive. There will be a bake sale and t-shirt orders taken that night as well.
- Just a reminder that doors are unlocked at the following times for weekday rehearsals:
- Band Room glass doors = 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Main Entrance (student parking) = 6:50 a.m. until 6:58 a.m.
- We have two birthdays to announce today. Happy birthday throws go to Kaitlyn Dowty and to the main man who likes to create videos, Mr. Ryden. We hope you two have a great day!!
- HOMECOMING DANCE GUEST forms are due tomorrow. They can be picked up from the counter in the HS office. Make sure to hand it in on time.
- The RCHS Book Club will meet next Thursday, during lunch in the library. Please sign up in the library so that enough pizza can be ordered.
- If you are interested in participating in competitive events, please attend our Competitive Event meeting today during lunch in Room 206. Please bring your lunch to the meeting. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Stallard or an FBLA officer.
- FBLA members - please join us tonight at 6:30 pm for a cook-out and Homecoming Float building night at Mrs. Stallard's house. Check your Email and Rooms app for all the details.
- All students are invited to attend the Fellowship of Christian Athletes meeting tomorrow during lunch on the closed deck. Please bring $3 for pizza.
- One Tiger Nation - Are you looking for something to do tomorrow night? Come to the circle drive (bus lane) from 5:00 to 6:30 for the annual Drumline Fundraiser. There will be a bake sale and Drumline Fan T-Shirts that can be ordered for $20. But most important, bring a lawn chair or blanket and listen to your drumline perform. You can even try your skills at playing drums during the break. If you have any questions, please see any drumline student or Mr. Vaal. See you then.
- Our Tiger Tennis squad took down Fairfield last night 7 to 2. Singles winners consist of McKenna Snider, Me/myself &I, Karlee Bissey, and Ezha Biyok. Doubles winners were Claire Uhl and McKenna Snider, Myself and my partner in crime Karlee Bissey, and Audrey Runyon and Brielle Seiler.
- Our Lady Tiger Golfers played well yesterday. Savannah Ferguson placed 2nd overall, Mallory Richardson took 4th place, Katelyn Bookhout grabbed 5th place, Addalyn Runyon and Aubrie Weidner tied for 6th place.
- Our Tiger Golf squad took the top spot yesterday against Lawrenceville and Flora. Tiger pats on the back go to Reese Glover and Carsyn Ameter as they tied for 2nd place overall. Ayden Nealis took 4th place, Carter Blank grabbed 8th place, Brody Thomas claimed 21st place, and Austin Smith finished in 22nd place.
- Tiger good luck wishes go to our Lady Tiger Golf squad as they are on the road to Mt. Carmel this afternoon.
- Today is Trivia Thursday folks. This week’s trivia question is sponsored by our Family and Consumer Science Department. The first two students who email Mr. Houchin with the correct answer will receive some Ginger Ales. All righty, here we go:
