- 7:00-7:39...............................Winds and drumline only (no colorguard) in your chairs in the band room. You need your tuners, On Wisconsin, time-out tunes, the Star Spangled Banner, Inside the Circle book, and show music. Our primary focus is Silverado.
- 7:40-7:44...............................Put away tuners, and music, before making your way (carefully avoiding buses) to the grass on the circle drive.
- 7:45-7:59...............................Rehearse Full Volume, Los Dos Bandidos, Wanted Dead or Alive, and Silverado in a circle.
- 8:00-8:04...............................Colorguard joins the band. Parade Block B to the practice field. No tuners or music.
- 8:05-8:14................................Getting on and off the field at Newton (with instruments)
- 8:15-8:29................................Clean sets 1-36 (with instruments)
- 8:30-8:39.................................March in Parade Block B back to the school
- 8:40-8:45..................................Stow instruments, guard equipment, drill charts, coordinates, lanyards, water bottles, Drillmasters, Crossovers, and/or StylePLUS shoes.
- 2:30-5:30................................Colorguard only evening rehearsal. The colorguard is exempt from 7:00-7:59 rehearsals on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- MATTRESS FUNDRAISER PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING: October 1st at 6 p.m. in the RCPAC. Students receive 1 hour of band personal time if a parent/guardian attends in-person, or 30 minutes if a parent/guardian attends via Facebook live. Sorry, kiddos. No extra time is awarded should more than one parent/guardian report to the meeting.
- JUDGES COMMENTS: The Robinson competition judges comments may be found under Schoology.
- THE PRESIDENT'S OWN: The United States Marine Band (arguably one of the best performing concert bands in the world) performs Sunday, 6 Oct Urbana, IL at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign at 3 p.m. If there is enough interest, we would leave at noon and return around 8 p.m. Students would need to provide only dinner money. Fill out the interest form by clicking HERE if you would like to attend. -RSVP CLOSED AT 9/25 AT 4 P.M.-
- DRUMLINE PERFORMANCE: Drumline performance for the boys soccer senior night is October 7th. The call-time is 3:15 p.m. in the RCHS band room. The location is currently at the middle school; however, it may be moved to OCC. The performance time is 4 p.m. Performers will be back by 5 p.m.
- THURSDAY'S SCHEDULE: Wednesday is a 2 p.m. dismissal.
- HOMECOMING GAME & RCHS, ERHS, & WRHS BAND ALUMNI NIGHT: That's right, folks! The game is this week! Should you know of any alum, please invite them to the game! To attend, all they need to do is fill out the form by clicking HERE. The form is embedded within the webpage.
- HOMECOMING PARADE: There is a chance that the homecoming parade may be moved to Thursday. More on this later.
- WATER BOTTLE: Bring your water bottle to Friday's rehearsal. You need your bottles for the competition on Saturday.
- BAND STANDS: The band is on the track this game. There will be bleachers set up for the band. More on this later.
- BPT: Students may not claim Band Personal Time (BPT) the day before or the day of a performance. Sorry, folks. no BPT Thursday or Friday of this week.

- Homecoming week continues!! In honor of Home Sweet Homecoming, we are celebrating Freedom Pops today. It’s truly amazing to sit back and reflect on those who have and are making sacrifices for our country so we can celebrate our many freedoms!! Tomorrow is Rolo Pajama Day. Please make sure your PJ’s are school appropriate.
- Voting for Homecoming King and Queen opens today and closes tomorrow at 2:00pm. Check your email to vote!
- Seniors, today is OCC Blue Preview Day. Buses will be here to pick you up at 11:00 AM. Please ask your OTA teacher who your chaperone is for the day.
- The sock and toy drive continues this week. It’s the Seniors and Sophomores against the Juniors and Freshmen. Bring in new or cleaned used toys and brand new adult socks every day this week. The winner will receive a one hour lunch. Please place your items in the marked boxes in the hallway by the office. We don’t have many items as of now. We need multiple items donated so the winning classes can earn the 1 hour lunch.
- Students, make sure you take some time to stop by the Library Terrace commons every day this week and take a picture in front of the Yearbook's backdrop!! It’s really awesome if you haven’t seen it yet.
- There is an Interact Meeting in the PAC during OTE this afternoon.
- Are you ready for some football?? The annual purple vs pink Powderpuff game is tonight, right here in our backyard. Kick is scheduled for 6:30 PM.
- The RCHS Book Club will meet tomorrow during lunch in the library. Please sign up in the library so that enough pizza can be ordered.
- Our Lady Tiger Volleyball teams were in action last night. Our JV squad took down Mattoon last night 18 to 25, 25 to 17, 15 to 8. Our varsity squad competed hard but came up a bit short. Tiger pats on the back go to our Lady Tigers:

- Tiger shout outs go to the senior boys as they took down our junior boys last night in volleyball action. Our faculty and staff came up a weeeee bit short as the seniors were crowned champs last night.
- Tiger good luck roars go to our Tiger and Lady Tiger golf squads as they tee it up in Mt. Carmel today for LIC conference tournament play. Bring home some hardware.
- All righty, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. It’s day 3 of Student Council Trivia. The first person who emails Mr. Houchin with the correct response will win a ticket to the ball Friday or some money. Here we go:
