NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- MATTRESS FUNDRAISER PARENT/GUARDIAN MEETING: October 1st at 6 p.m. in the RCPAC. Students receive 1 hour of band personal time if a parent/guardian attends in-person, or 30 minutes if a parent/guardian attends via Facebook live. Sorry, kiddos. No extra time is awarded should more than one parent/guardian report to the meeting.
- JUDGES COMMENTS: The Robinson competition judges comments may be found under Schoology.
- THE PRESIDENT'S OWN: The United States Marine Band (arguably one of the best performing concert bands in the world) performs Sunday, 6 Oct Urbana, IL at the Krannert Center for Performing Arts, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign at 3 p.m. The following students submitted an RSVP: Parker, Ethan Z., Jasper, Jereme, Maddison, and Luke S. Students would need to provide only dinner money.
- DRUMLINE PERFORMANCE: Drumline performance for the boys soccer senior night is October 7th. The call-time is 3:15 p.m. in the RCHS band room. The location is currently at the middle school; however, it may be moved to OCC. The performance time is 4 p.m. Performers will be back by 5 p.m.
- HOMECOMING GAME & RCHS, ERHS, & WRHS BAND ALUMNI NIGHT: That's right, folks! The game is this week! Should you know of any alum, please invite them to the game! To attend, all they need to do is fill out the form by clicking HERE. The form is embedded within the webpage.
- HOMECOMING PARADE: The parade has been moved to today at 12:50 p.m.
- WATER BOTTLE: Bring your water bottle to Friday's rehearsal. You need your bottles for the competition on Saturday.
- BAND STANDS: The band may be on the track this game. There will be bleachers set up for the band, if arrangements can be made. However, given we are the day before the game, this may be postponed. More on this later.
- LUNCH: The music department is open for lunch this week.
- PLAYING TEST #4: Wisconsin from memory. Upload the video onto Google Drive, and share the file on Schoology. The due date is Friday, September 27th.

- BPT: Students may not claim Band Personal Time (BPT) the day before or the day of a performance. Sorry, folks. no BPT Thursday or Friday of this week.

- GREEN ROOM: Color guard, please use the restrooms to change. The Green Room needs to be accessible to all students, per the administration.
- RCHS MARCHING TIGERS DRUMLINE FUNDRAISER: Friday, September 20th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the RCHS circle drive. There will be a bake sale and t-shirt orders taken that night as well.
- Just a reminder that doors are unlocked at the following times for weekday rehearsals:
- Band Room glass doors = 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Main Entrance (student parking) = 6:50 a.m. until 6:58 a.m.
- We have four birthday shout outs to throw today. We hope that Aiden Germak, Braelynn Brown, Mackenzie Smith, and Matthew Wenger have amazing birthdays today!!
- We are running a modified Homecoming Parade schedule today. There is no OTA or OTE today. You will report to blocks 1 through 4. Lunch will be at 11:15. After lunch, you will report to your OTA class for attendance. There will be a pep assembly and then we will get ready for our parade. The golden chariots will be here at 1:54 for departure.
- Homecoming week continues!! In honor of Home Sweet Homecoming, we are celebrating Extreme Spirit Day today. Tomorrow is Rolo Pajama Day. Please make sure your PJ’s are school appropriate.
- We have a Socktember update to give you all this morning. As of now, the Sophomores and Seniors are leading with 24 items. Our Freshmen and Juniors have 6 items. We will need at least 100 items to justify the one hour lunch. Happy Soctember!!
- Voting for Homecoming King and Queen is open today and closes today at 2:00pm. Check your email to vote!
- The RCHS Book Club will meet today during lunch in the library.
- Students, make sure you take some time to stop by the Library Terrace commons. Get your pictures taken in front of the awesome backdrop.
- Our Tiger and Lady Tiger golfers were in action yesterday. Our Tigers finished in 2nd place in LIC action. We were just 4 shots from the crown. Tiger pats on the back go to Ayden Nealis as he was crowned LIC champ. This is the 4th year in a row that we have had a tournament champ. Ayden was 2 under par yesterday - folks, that’s some excellent shootin’. Reese Glover finished in 3rd place, Carsyn Ameter grabbed 21st place, Carter Blank took 25th place, Austin Smith and Brody Thomas tied for 39th place.
- Our Lady Tigers were also in conference action yesterday. Our Lady Tigers claimed 3rd place for the conference tournament. Tiger roars go to Emma Hefferman as she finished in 11th place overall. Mallory Richardson grabbed 12th place, Savannah Ferguson took 13th place, Katelyn Bookhout claimed 14th place, Addalyn Runyon finished in 15th place, and Aubrie Weidner finished in 22nd place.
- Powder Puff action did not disappoint last night. Our Senior and Junior ladies battled in the rough, tough conditions last night. Juniors got off to a fast start but it was the seniors who claimed victory 14 to 13. Great competition and an awesome atmosphere!!!
- Tiger good luck roars go to OTN today:
- Our Lady Tiger Tennis squads will be on the road to Effingham.
- Lady Tiger Volleyball will be on the road to Edwards County.
- Our Tiger Soccer squad will be on road to Mt. Carmel
