TUESDAY (9/3): Rehearse the memorized warm-ups, the Star-Spangled Banner, On Wisconsin, time-out tunes, Los Dos Bandidos, Wanted Dead or Alive, & Silverado. <GOAL MOSTLY MET>
WEDNESDAY (9/4): Review/Clean sets 1-28A (with instruments). Discuss how to get on, and off the field.

Drumline is with Mr. Vaal from 7:00-7:59 a.m. on Tuesday. Colorguard is with Carly Zuber at 8 a.m. If you have musician earplugs, I recommend wearing them for this rehearsal. No music and tuners outside, please (except for Alex and Hadley). Colorguard need not report until 8 a.m.

- 7:45-7:59...............................Rehearse Full Volume, Los Dos Bandidos, & Wanted Dead or Alive in a circle.
- 8:00-8:04...............................Colorguard joins the band. Parade Block B to the practice field. No tuners or music.

- ILMEA LESSONS: Those of you auditioning for an ILMEA ensemble (jazz band, concert band, or orchestra), please select a 30 minute time once a week for a lesson. Lessons begin the week of Labor Day. Log into your RCCU1 account on your browser, and then click HERE.
- CLICK TRACK: The third movement click track is in! Go to "STUDENT RESOURCES" then "SHEET MUSIC" followed by "2024 SHOW MUSIC AND DRILL" to find the recording.
- LUNCH: The music department is open for lunch this week.
- Welcome Committee: I need volunteers to welcome the 8th Grade Band Students from RCMS and St. Joe on the Sept. 6th game from members of the leadership-committee. Please message me, if you are interested.
- Assignment #2: Winds and percussion, write in sets 28A-43A onto your sheet music for Silverado. This is due on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Colorguard, you are being graded on the guard work for On Wisconsin by Ms. Bogard on Thursday night.
- Richland County vs. Mattoon Home Game: This game is scheduled for this Friday, September 6th. The band invites St. Joe and RCMS 8th Grade Band students to join us on this game! Click HERE for more details.
- Jasper County Fall Festival Parade & the Sage City Invitational: The band performs at two venues on Saturday, September 14th. Click HERE for more details. This is an extremely long day! Students, you are more than welcome to sign out with a parent after performing. - 2024 RCHS Bands Mattress Fundraiser: The mattress fundraiser informational meeting is on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. in the RCPAC. The fundraiser is in the auxiliary gym on Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Click HERE for more details. This fundraiser is essential to help offset costs for the marching band, and for the winter guard.
- RCHS Marching Tigers Drumline Fundraiser: Friday, September 20th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the RCHS circle drive. There will be a bake sale and t-shirt orders taken that night as well.
- Just a reminder that doors are unlocked at the following times for weekday rehearsals:
- Band Room glass doors = 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Main Entrance (student parking) = 6:50 a.m. until 6:58 a.m.

- Students, do not use the north lot (back lot) to park. This is for our faculty and staff. Parking is permitted on the south side (by Joe’s Pizza), P Lot, and on the side of the roads. Every student should enter through the main entrance unless you are a bus rider.

- FBLA will have a chapter meeting this Thursday during lunch in Room 206. The meeting is for all students who are interested in joining FBLA. Pizza will be provided. Freshmen attendance will be taken and reported to the office by Mrs. Stallard.
- Juniors - The PSAT/NMSQT test will be offered on October 30th. This optional test is a qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Any interested Junior may sign up in the Student Services office. Cost is $18.00 cash or check. Deadline to register is this Thursday. No late registrations will be accepted.
- Tiger roars go out to our Cross Country teams as they had some success over the weekend at the Fairfield Invitational. Our Tiger runners claimed first place overall. Quaid Berger was crowned champion, Tristin Butler was right on his heels with 2nd place, and Judah Dicks grabbed 3rd place. Our Lady Tiger runners claimed 2nd place overall. Mackenzi Thomas was crowned champ and Josie Ginder finished in 2nd place.
- Tiger shout outs go to our Tiger Football squad as they took down Taylorville this past Friday night 43 to 38. Gavin Cothern scored 4 touchdowns racking up 249 yards. Dirks Weiler found the endzone and had 119 yards on the ground. Ian Pianfetti started the action with a kick return for a touchdown and had a key interception. Logan “Chris Cutler” McDonald had 14 tackles - 2 of those for a loss of yardage, and X Man Zuber had 9 tackles and 2 sacks on the opposing quarterback.
- Tiger pats on the back go to our GRIT winners from last week. These students need to see Coach VanDyke in the commons after announcements: Mallory Richardson, Maverik Cordell, Ryen Gray, Kyleigh Cazel, Quaid Berger, Hadley Heath, Lily Stevens and Aidan Weidne
- Tiger good luck roars go out to One Tiger Nation this afternoon:
- Our Lady Tiger Golf squad will travel to Charleston this afternoon.
- Our Lady Tiger Tennis team will lock paws with Casey Westfield at 4:15.
- Our Tiger Soccer squad is on the road to Mattoon.
- Our Lady Tiger Volleyball squad will battle Flora in beautiful, historic Ron Herrin Gym tonight. The JV action will start at 6:00 PM. The theme for tonight is camo night. Please no face paint, anything that represents a weapon, and no masks.
