NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- ILMEA LESSONS: Those of you auditioning for an ILMEA ensemble (jazz band, concert band, or orchestra), please select a 30 minute time once a week for a lesson. Lessons begin the week of Labor Day. Log into your RCCU1 account on your browser, and then click HERE.
- THURSDAY'S OTE: No jazz band today, folks. You are welcome to check in before going to another OTE/club. I am away for a doctor's appointment during OTE.
- LUNCH: The music department is open for lunch this week.
- MENTORS/MENTEES: Mentors, please check in with your "littles" to make sure they are aware of tomorrow's schedule, and the dress code. Also, remind them to bring their water canteens/coolers to tomorrow's practice. Coolers are required for games.
- 8TH GRADE BAND NIGHT: Students from RCMS join us for tomorrow's game. Please make them feel welcome! We will pass out middle school pep band tunes Wooly Bully, Crazy Train, and Smoke on the Water Friday.
- WELCOME COMMITTEE: Hadley Heath, Carly Houchin, Lila Balding, and Evey Mason. Please see me when you have a moment.
- ASSIGNMENT #2: Winds and percussion, write in sets 28A-43A onto your sheet music for Silverado. This is due on Tuesday at 7 a.m. Colorguard, you are being graded on the guard work for On Wisconsin by Ms. Bogard on Thursday night.
- RCHS VS. MATTOON HOME GAME: This game is scheduled for this Friday, September 6th. The band invites St. Joe and RCMS 8th Grade Band students to join us on this game! Click HERE for more details.
- JASPER COUNTY FALL FESTIVAL PARADE & SAGE CITY INVITATIONAL: The band performs at two venues on Saturday, September 14th. Click HERE for more details. This is an extremely long day! Students, you are more than welcome to sign out with a parent after performing. - ILMEA AUDITION PREP CLINIC: Those of you auditioning for ILMEA may participate in the ILMEA Audition Prep Clinic on the campus of Eastern Illinois University. We leave at 10 a.m. and we return to Olney at approximately 5 p.m. We will stop for lunch in Charleston. Transportation is provided by the school district. - 2024 MATTRESS FUNDRAISER: The mattress fundraiser informational meeting is on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. in the RCPAC. The fundraiser is in the auxiliary gym on Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Click HERE for more details. This fundraiser is essential to help offset costs for the marching band, and for the winter guard.
- RCHS MARCHING TIGERS DRUMLINE FUNDRAISER: Friday, September 20th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the RCHS circle drive. There will be a bake sale and t-shirt orders taken that night as well.
- Just a reminder that doors are unlocked at the following times for weekday rehearsals:
- Band Room glass doors = 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Main Entrance (student parking) = 6:50 a.m. until 6:58 a.m.

- FBLA will have a chapter meeting today during lunch in Room 206. The meeting is for all students who are interested in joining FBLA. Pizza will be provided. Freshmen attendance will be taken and reported to the office by Mrs. Stallard.
- There is a drama club meeting during OTE in the PAC today.
- There is a full Student Council meeting, including representatives, during OTE today in Ms. Fehrenbacher’s classroom 122.
- There will be a Homecoming Boys volleyball meeting tomorrow during OTA in the PAC for any junior or senior boy who is interested in playing. You must attend the meeting to play.
- Juniors - The PSAT/NMSQT test will be offered on October 30th. This optional test is a qualifier for the National Merit Scholarship Program. Any interested Junior must sign up in the Student Services office. Cost is $18.00 cash or check. Deadline to register is today. No late registrations will be accepted.
- There will be a Best Buddies informational meeting tomorrow during OTA in the commons. If you turned in an application and received an email from Mrs. McDonald, please attend the meeting.
- HOMECOMING DANCE GUEST forms can be picked up from the counter in the office. They are due back BEFORE September 20th. Double-check that all information is filled out and the form is signed before handing it in. See Mrs. Hannah in the office with any questions.
- Tiger pats on the back go to our Tiger Golf squad as they finished first yesterday on their home course. Tiger shout outs go to Ayden Nealis as he fired a 36 and came in 2nd place overall. Reese Glover was right on his heels in 3rd place with a 37. Carsyn Ameter and Carter Blank finished in 10th place with a score of 43
- Our Lady Tiger Golfers were also in action yesterday. The lady golfers placed 2nd overall. Emma Hefferman grabbed 5th place with a score of 54. Katelyn Bookhout and Savannah Ferguson tied for 6th place with scores of 57. Aubrie Weidner came in 8th with a 58.

- Our Lady Tiger Tennis squad will lock paws with Newton at 4:30 PM at the park.
- Our Tiger Soccer squad will battle Mt. Carmel at the middle school at 5:00 PM
