TUESDAY (9/9): Rehearse the memorized warm-ups, the Star-Spangled Banner, On Wisconsin, time-out tunes, Los Dos Bandidos, Wanted Dead or Alive, & Silverado. The primary focus musically is on Silverado and the time-out tunes. Clean sets 1-26.
Drumline is with Mr. Vaal from 7:00-7:59 a.m. on Tuesday. Colorguard is with Carly Zuber at 8 a.m. If you have musician earplugs, I recommend wearing them for this rehearsal. No music and tuners outside, please (except for Alex and Hadley). Colorguard need not report until 8 a.m.

- ILMEA LESSONS: Those of you auditioning for an ILMEA ensemble (jazz band, concert band, or orchestra), please select a 30 minute time once a week for a lesson. - THURSDAY OTE: No jazz band today, folks. You are welcome to check in before going to another OTE/club. I am away for a doctor's appointment during OTE.

- 2024 MATTRESS FUNDRAISER: The mattress fundraiser informational meeting is on Tuesday, October 1 at 6 p.m. in the RCPAC. The fundraiser is in the auxiliary gym on Saturday, October 19th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Click HERE for more details. This fundraiser is essential to help offset costs for the marching band, and for the winter guard.
- RCHS MARCHING TIGERS DRUMLINE FUNDRAISER: Friday, September 20th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the RCHS circle drive. There will be a bake sale and t-shirt orders taken that night as well.
- Just a reminder that doors are unlocked at the following times for weekday rehearsals:
- Band Room glass doors = 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Main Entrance (student parking) = 6:50 a.m. until 6:58 a.m.

- There is an open gym opportunity tonight for any girl interested in playing girls basketball. The location - Beautiful, historic Ron Herrin Gym. The time - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
- Boys volleyball permission slips are due Wednesday! You can turn them into Room 122 during OTA and OTE.
- HOMECOMING DANCE GUEST forms can be picked up from the counter in the office. They are due back BEFORE September 20th. Double-check that all information is filled out and the form is signed before handing it in. See Mrs. Hannah in the office with any questions.
- We have some GRIT winners to announce this morning. We need the following students to meet Coach Vandyke in the commons after announcements: Tiger pats on the back go to Nolen Seals, Raley Inskeep, Levi Hefferman, Christian Webber, Karlee Piercefield, Landon Livingston, Ella Fuson, and Taylor Bloomer.
- Tiger pats on the back go to our Tiger Golf squad as they took 2nd place in the Olney Invitational Friday. Ayden Nealis finished in 5th place overall with a round of 77. Reese Glover claimed 6th place with a round of 78. Carter Blank grabbed 18th place with a round of 85, and Carsyn Ameter finished in 46th place with a score of 96.
- Our Tiger Football team took down Mattoon Friday night. Tiger shout outs go to me - I mean weren’t you there??? I kicked the winning field goal Friday night. I did get a lot of help from my teammates though. Gavyn Cothern threw for 128 yards, ran for 163 and was responsible for 3 of our touchdowns. Ian Pianfetti caught 6 passes for 85 yards and had a touchdown. We won 24 to 22. Your Olney Football Tigers are now 2 and 0 on the season.
- Our Tiger and Lady Tiger Cross Country teams ran in Charleston Saturday. Tiger roars go to our gentlemen’s team as they grabbed 2nd place overall. Quaid Berger took 2nd place, Tristen Butler finished in 12th place, Judah Dicks grabbed 13th place, Kaden Davis took 28th place, and Landon Livingston finished in 47th place. Our lady runners claimed 7th place overall. Mackenzi Thomas finished in 11th place, Josie Ginder grabbed 21st place, Lily Stevens took 42nd place, Karlee Piercefield finished in 49th place, and Mallory Kocher took 61st place.
