Your goal in life is to find out the people who need you the most, to find out the business that needs you the most, to find the project and the art that needs you the most. There is something out there just for you. - Naval Ravikant
THIS IS YOUR FINAL RCHS MARCHING TIGERS BULLETIN FOR THE 2019 SEASON! I want to let you all know that the staff and I are all very proud of your hard work and dedication this season. We know that competitive marching band takes up a lot of effort, time, and weekends. You have exceeded my expectations this term. You are truly the pride of Richland County!

Now, that being said. We have one more performance left, which is tonight's Final Performance. Let's make this the strongest performance yet!

MARCHING TIGERS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  1. The call-time for all Marching Tigers for the Final Performance is 6 pm in the rehearsal hall. The performance starts at 7 pm. As of now, we plan on holding the event in the RCHS stadium. However, we do have a rain-out backup plan. In the event that we are unable to march outside, we will perform in the Ron Herinn Gymnasium. We will not march.
  2. Bring in all instruments that belong to RCHS Bands for an inventory tomorrow (Wednesday). Please return instruments, tuners, flip folders, lyres, etc.
  3. Student leadership auditions on the week of Tuesday, October 15th. Visit the following URL for the registration form: https://forms.gle/3SRbMB3rcrWCdFnS6forms.gle/3SRbMB3rcrWCdFnS6. We will audition for the field conductor and the captains positions this week. Section leader auditions will begin next week. Please see Mr. Jones for music.
  4. Audition for Honors Wind Ensemble starts on the week of Tuesday, October 15th
  5. Unpaid student debt to RCHS Bands is $2,637.32. Please take advantage of the fundraiser. We are making progress!
  6. 8 am rehearsals this week. No 7 am rehearsals this week!
  7. Spend-a-Day with the Eastern Illinois University Music Department. This event caters to predominantly seniors. Neither Mr. Weitkamp or Mr. Jones are attending this event. Students are responsible for transportation and letting the office know that you are visiting a college for the day. https://www.eiu.edu/music/Event_Spend_a_Day.phpwww.eiu.edu/music/Event_Spend_a_Day.php
  8. Fun fact: A duck's quack doesn't echo, and no one knows why (This one is for you, Garrett & Langston)

8 AM SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Fall sports results and schedule for the week:

The final performance of the RCHS Marching Tigers for the 2019 season is held in the Richland County High School stadium at 7 pm tonight. This is the last performance of this season’s show entitled Piano Lessons featuring the voices of Richland County’s own Eric and Bailey Combs. The performance is open to the public at no cost.

At the Centralia Invitational X-Country meet on Saturday the RCHS Girls took 2nd place overall with Tatum David coming in 1st Place.  The boys took 3rd Place with Gavin Kirby finishing 4th overall. Olney won the Frosh race with Brooks Julian, Jarrett Doll, Drew Blank, and Ian Strong finishing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 6th.
