Body Posture & Alignment - Winds/Percussion Only
This video will provide you with information related to the general understanding and execution of proper body posture & alignment within marching technique and general visual/movement technique. In this video you will learn various lower body positions, upper body carriage specifics, injury prevention measures, and other details relative to standing at attention.

Checklist: Knees tracking over toes, neutral pelvis/hips, shoulders centered over hips, shoulders rounding back/down, and head/neck tall - elevated 10 degrees above level.

Dynamic Movement Warm-Up - All Members
This video will provide you with a tutorial of a dynamic movement warm-up and is intended to bring all sections of the ensemble together to prepare for rehearsal. This warm-up is useful at the beginning of all rehearsals to generate good blood flow, increase the heart rate/respiratory rate, oxygenate the blood, as well as safely activate vital joints and muscles. The information provided is a useful form of injury prevention and showcases a variety of exercises intended to prepare the body for more extensive physical responsibilities.

Plié - To Bend
Relevé - To Rise
Elevé - To Elevate
Sequence of exercises:
- Head rolls (Right & Left)
- Head up & roll down
- Roll up to proper posture/body alignment
- Stretch up and descend into 2nd position plié
- Arm circles forward/back in 2nd position plié
- High Knees and Kick Backs
- Slow Frontal Lunges (alternating)
- Jumping Lunges or Slow Frontal Lunges (alternating)
- Lateral Lunges
- Lateral Lunges with cross lateral reach
- 4 Jumping Jacks + 2 Squats
- Calf Raises - parallel and 1st position
- Balance - 1st Position
