- Rehearse The Greatest Show for the Final Performance and for field conductor practices. Auditions for field conductor are Thursday at this time.
- Auditions for Honors Wind Chamber Ensemble (Please let me know if you would prefer to audition during this time next week).

NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- NEED TO SEE TODAY: I need to meet with Molly Fehrenbacher, Aidan Gomez and Evey Mason before you leave school today. If you are able, please meet with me after the parade regarding the ERHS, WRHS, and RCHS Band Alumni Night Game tonight.
- FACEBOOK LIVE & IN-PERSON MEETING FOR PARENTS AND STUDENTS - We have an upcoming meeting for all program parents on Monday October 9, 2023 at 6pm. We realize that most parents have very busy schedules, but we will be hosting an important upcoming meeting. We have a HUGE fundraiser coming up that we will discuss. It’s our Mattress Sale Fundraiser and many programs like ours have raised a lot of money with this unique fundraiser and it will be a great fundraiser for us! Attending this brief 15 minute meeting will help raise money for our program.
- Our fundraising partner is seeding the fundraiser with $5 for every parent in attendance! This is an easy opportunity to support our program just by sharing a few minutes of your time. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
- The meeting will be next Monday October 9, 2023, at 6pm at Richland County Performing Arts Center in RCHS.
- You may also join us remotely by visiting RCHS Bands on Facebook and clicking on the live video button as we stream on Monday at 6 p.m. We get $5 credit for virtual attendees as well!

- FIELD CONDUCTOR - The audition and speech for the field conductor is during early bird on Thursday, October 12th
- CAPTAINS (2 positions) - Auditions, demonstration of marching fundamentals & commands, and the recorded speech are Thursday, October 12th by 3 p.m.
- SECTION LEADERS - Section leader auditions are due by Tuesday, November 21st on SmartMusic.
- MARCHING EAGLES BAND CLASSIC ON 10/7: This is our last competition of the season! It also is a short day for the band. Please click HERE for more information. Leadership has asked for a call-time of 9:45 a.m. Please meet in the band room at that time.
- FINAL PERFORMANCE: The Final Performance has been moved! The new performance date/time is Saturday, October 14th at 7 p.m. The call-time for all Marching Tigers is 6 p.m.

- HONORS WIND ENSEMBLE AUDITIONS: Auditions are open! Winds, log into your SmartMusic accounts. Your audition is over a portion of the Sr. ILMEA Scales. Percussion, your audition may be over one of two things: 1) ILMEA Scales like the winds; or 2) the 2023 ILMEA Band Auditions on snare drum and mallets.

- TUNERS, INSIDE THE CIRCLE, AND MUSIC: Winds and percussion need all of these items for every Tuesday and Thursday rehearsal - even when outside. Please keep your tuner on your instrument so it isn't lost. You do not need these items on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, or Saturdays unless Mr. Jones says otherwise.

- CONFLICTS: Do you have a conflict with a marching band event? Log into your rccu1.net account, and click HERE to fill out the form. Most common conflicts are vacations, drivers education, summer camps, athletics, and other clubs. After filling out the form, please message Mr. Jones to give him a heads up. Review the RCHS Bands Handbook to determine what is considered an excused absence.

We have 1 birthday shout out to throw today. We want to wish Dirks Weiler a very happy birthday today. We have a few weekend birthdays to announce this morning. Tomorrow, we hope that Jacob Slichenmyer has a great birthday. On Sunday, happy birthday throws go out to Gavyn Cothern and Xander Holtz.
- The daily scavenger hunt continues today - find the tigers and bring them to Ms. Fehrenbacher to claim your Ginger Ale’s gift card.
- Students, please return your borrowed Chromebooks and chargers to the library. We want them back or we won’t have any to loan.
- Tiger roars go out to our Tiger Soccer squad as they defeated Robinson yesterday 5 to 0. Tiger pats on the back go out to Poalo Ronaldo as he is our new all time leading goal scorer for a single season with 38. He can add to this total tomorrow. Isaac Zwilling scored on a penalty kick, Paydon Buchanan had a goal. Ale Messi netted a goal. Assists were dished out by Aidan Weidner and Petro Cannavaro. Tiger shout outs go to Wyatt Baker as he was a steel curtain last night with 0 goals allowed.
- Our Lady Tiger volleyball squad came up a bit short against Robinson last night. Aliyah Tracy had 16 kills, Rylee Bloomer had 30 assists, Abi Mitchell and Aliyah Tracy had 14 digs, and Danielle Brown and Aliyah Tracy had 3 blocks each. Tiger roars go out to our JV squad as they took the victory last night.
- The Homecoming game against Paris begins at 7:00 PM tonight. We will find out who our king and queen are during Coronation at Half Time. The dance will begin at 9:30 PM and will end at 11:30 PM. Please enter through the main entrance of the school. If you choose to leave at any point, you will not be permitted to re-enter.
- Tiger good luck wishes go out to our Lady Tiger Tennis team as they are on the road to Paris to play in the Little Illini Conference Tournament, and our Tiger Soccer squad will lock paws with Mt. Vernon on our middle school field at 10:00 AM.
