As you all know, the due date for the RCHS Music Department 2019 Disney World Trip was last Friday, April the 13th. A deposit of $100 per person is required to reserve a spot on the trip. I have posted the reservations list to Disney World & Cocoa Beach on the RCHS Bands Website under https://www.richlandcountyhsbands.org/2019-disney-world-trip-reservations-list.html. You may access the page by clicking on the “2019 Disney World Trip Reservations List” tab on the left to confirm that your reservation has been made. The RCHS Music Department must make the first payment to the travel company this Friday, April 20th. We would love to have more students and family members join us on our trip! If you are interested, a payment must be made no later than this Friday. Past this point and we cannot guarantee a spot on the trip. As I have already mentioned, family members are welcome to join us on the trip. The prices listed below include motor coach transportation, hotel lodging, eight meals, beach pass, & three day park passes (see the slide presentation under “2019 Disney World Trip Reservations List” for more details). Of course, the price for the student includes a performance on the Disney World park. Prices for family members are as follows:
Should you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected], message me on Remind101, or call me at 393-2191 ext. 3137. Given that the Honors Wind Ensemble & the Jazz Combo (+friends) performed at the SAXational: The Next Generation concert on February 11th, that the Symphonic Band performs at the Lincoln Trail Band Festival on Thursday, March 7th, that members of the Honors Wind Ensemble are preparing for IHSA Solo & Ensemble Contest on Saturday, March 2nd, and that the basketball band performs in Peoria for the IHSA State Boys Basketball tournament on Saturday, March 9th, I have elected to cancel the Sliva Concert this year. We are simply running short on rehearsal time.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. The next concert is the Spring Concert, which will be held in the Sliva Auditorium on Sunday, April 28th at 3 pm. The IHSA Solo & Ensemble Contest for 2019 is nearly upon us! I have not yet received the performance times and location for each entry for Saturday, March 2nd. Once we receive the performance times from IHSA, you may find performance times & locations at the bottom of this email.
