I would like to say that everyone that auditioned impressed me immensely! Each and every one of you proved that you embodied the spirit of the Richland County School District. With that, I hope you all walk away from tryouts with a sense of pride! The 2019 Color Guard is selling frozen pizzas from Montical's Pizza starting April 1st, 2019. Proceeds go towards go to the Guard to purchase supplies for the upcoming season. Order forms are due April 15th. See Ms. Edwards for more details.
Ms. Edwards & Mr. Jones host a 2019 RCHS Color Guard clinic & tryout at Richland County High School on Wednesday, March 27th from 6-8 PM. No guard experience needed!
What is the Color Guard? The Color Guard is a performing section of the marching band that incorporates dance, movement, and flag work to contribute to the overall show. If you are considering joining a high school organization, would like to meet other wonderful students like yourselves, and have a ton of fun, then Color Guard is your group! Come check out our camp on Wednesday at Richland County High School in the band room (room 137) next to exit 21. For more details, please text @32fkk23 to 81010. Many of you have informed me that you have made your own reservations in Orlando, FL, are providing your own transportation, but would like to purchase tickets through the travel company. Bob Rogers Travel has made it easy for to do just that. You may now view a quote and, should you decide to do so, you may reserve tickets. Simply visit ips.bobrogerstravel.com, create a new user trip ID & password, and make your reservations.
This option is for those that have their own transportation to Florida, and hotel reservations in Orlando, FL. Parents and students that already have a reservation with the RCHS Music Department for the 2019 summer trip already have Disney World tickets, transportation via motor coach, and hotel reservations. Graduation was officially set for Sunday, May 19 at 3:00 p.m. at last night’s board meeting. As of now, the last regular day of attendance for seniors is anticipated to be Tuesday, May 14 with final exams being given to seniors who are not exempt on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
The fifth and final payment for the 2019 Disney World & Cocoa Beach trip is due Friday, April 5th, 2019. The trip must be paid in full on this date, as we need to pay the travel company in full.
A statement was emailed to students and those parents that signed up on CutTime on 3/15. Invoices are in the mail and are expected to arrive on 3/18 or 3/19. Please make checks out to RCHS Bands or RCHS Music Department. Write "Disney Payment" in the memo line of the check. PLEASE NOTE: Recent payments and the profits from recent fundraisers have not yet been included in the music department student accounts under CutTime.
