UPDATED ON 9/20/23 WITH ADJUSTMENT TO EIU SCHEDULE
The Marching Tigers compete in the Panther Marching Band Festival at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL on Saturday, September 30th, 2023.
The packing list includes...
Eat a healthy breakfast before reporting for the call-time. Lunch is at 1:30 p.m.! Granola bars will be available in the morning to tide folks over until lunch.
The schedule for the Panther Marching Band Festival:
8:00 am................Call-time for all Marching Tigers in department clothing
8:05 am................Load remaining equipment
8:50 am................Buses arrive at the RCHS circle drive
9:00 am..................Depart for Charleston, IL
10:29 am................Estimated arrival time at Eastern Illinois University
10:30 am................Change into uniforms and unpack equipment
11:10 am................Parade Block A
11:35 am................Move to warmup area B
11:45 am................Warmup on practice field
12:25 pm................Move to the staging area/stadium gate
12:40 pm................Arrive at staging area
12:45 pm..................Perform in the stadium
1:15 pm..................Return to the trailer to stow uniforms and equipment
1:45 pm..................Lunch, provided by the Olney Music Boosters
2:00 pm.................Free time to watch bands and visit concessions!
3:45 pm..................Meet at in a designated location in the home stands
4:15 pm................Awards ceremony in the stadium
5:00 pm................Those departing on Bus #1 (early bus) meet at the buses
5:15 pm................Bus #1 departs for Olney, IL
6:30 pm....................Estimated return time for Bus #1 to RCHS
7:45 pm................All remaining students meet at bus #2 (late bus)
8:00 pm................Bus #2 departs for Olney, IL
9:30 pm.................Estimated return time for Bus #2 to RCHS
TICKETS :
Adults $10.00; Students and Senior Citizens $5.00. Children 5 and under are free. Festival Programs will be available for $5.00. Cash and check only.
I have listed the performance times of class 4A & class 5A below, for those that decide to watch the big marching bands perform.

- Department shorts or jazz bands
- Drillmaster or CrossOver shoes
- Black crew socks (tall black socks)
- Dinner money (concessions) or sack dinner
- Pants, comfortable shoes, and sweatshirt/jacket (optional)
- Canteen/cooler for water
